Improvising with Pentatonic Scales - Advanced

Writer's picture: MikeMike

A lesson for Advanced Mandolin players on how to use pentatonic scales in your improvising. We'll use the Major, Minor and Blues pentatonic scales over a simple chart to see what effect they all have. Then, we'll take a look at how improvising using one pentatonic scale can help you play solos over some quite complex chords. We'll use 'Georgia on my Mind' as an example for that exercise.
